KiZAN's online bait shop
stocks premium red worm bait for freshwater and saltwater fishing. Big
Reds are mature compost worms (+3 month old breeding stock).
We select only our best worms for bait and
give them ideal growing conditions to ensure they are bait size
(each pack has an average worm size of 0.8 grams, smallest
0.5g).
Big Reds are packed in premium peat moss,
provided conditioning food and a pH stabiliser to ensure
your worms will continue to grow; even while they are being
delivered.
Your Big Red pack will have a
shelf life of at least 3 weeks. If you still have some left
over put them and their bedding in your worm compost bin where
they will continue to grow and breed.
Fishing with Red Worms
When using
worms for bait, use a small, light hook that allows the worm to
move freely without killing it.
Red worms are
very hardy and will stay on the hook well. They make great
fish bait because they stay alive for as long as 45 minutes in
freshwater and have a tough skin that keeps them on the hook,
making it easier to hook a fish.
Trout and
most other freshwater fish will eat a variety of food, but
prefer their food live.
